Leeds natives Marsicans sing of suburban boredom and wanting more in ‘Suburbs’.
‘Suburbs’ is one of those tracks which immediately feels classic. It’s that inexplicable thing which you hear and feel that takes you somewhere you’ve been before, but you’re happy to return to.
Produced by Mickey Dale, the song begins with vocalist James Newbigging singing over an easy going guitar riff which flows into a similar feel in the verse. But it’s when the chorus kicks in that you begin to understand the full power of the track. “It’s all the same when I get home” is the first lyric which melodically hits the heart just right.
If you need to understand what the heck I’m talking about, check out the track in the link above.
