The new single “I Can’t Get Last Night Out Of My Head“ was written the night before leaving for his last UK trip, after the rekindling of a recent flame. Completed in London, the song came from contemplating a taboo of talking about sex – through any complication and confusion, the potential of beauty and inspiration in an experience can be healthily simplified by being open about it. Having just overcome illness that had impacted the relationship physically, Didirri illustrates the value of human contact combined with the reunion of love, and the embracing of new beginnings. The song is a reminder of that moment.
As Didirri wraps up his last Australian tour with a mostly sold out run of his biggest headline shows to date, we are excited to announce the release of his debut EP ‘Measurements’ due July 6th available digitally or on limited release vinyl, including the latest single and standout live sing-along track “I Can’t Get Last Night Out Of My Head“.
The new track comes before he heads to the UK to play The Great Escape in Brighton in May followed by a special London show and first ever European tour, including Primavera. This will be his second trip to the UK, after selling out the iconic Shacklewell Arms in London last year.
Didirri has also just announced a special run of regional Victoria tour dates in July before he plays Splendour In The Grass, including a much-awaited return to hometown Warrnambool on the EP release day June 6th.
The video was shot impromptu on an iPhone in LA the morning Didirri received the final master of “I Can’t Get Last Night Out Of My Head“, and beautifully captures the intimacy of the song.
